About C.Taylor

A native of the pacific northwest, the Celluloid Junkie has made her home in Olympia, Seattle, Spokane, Las Vegas and points in-between. Having grown up watching “up all night” on the usa network, the Junkie naturally disproportionately enjoys watching b-horror films. These are my opinions, rantings, perspectives and as such, are subject to change.

Her philosophy on approaching films:

“The secret of happiness is this: let your interests be as wide as possible, and let your reactions to the things and persons that interest you be as far as possible friendly rather than hostile.” – Bertrand Russell.

Her film commentaries can be found on Mediocrity is the New Genius and Jabcat Movies.

Current Celluloid favorites include:

* romantic comedy: The Holiday (2006)

* drama: Black Swan (2010)

* horror: 28 Days Later (2007), Psycho (1960)

* suspense: Vertigo (1958)

* indie: Halloween (1978) … yes, that was an independent!

* teen comedy: Juno (2007)

* feautre length animation: Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001), Renaissance (2006)

* sci-fi: Sunshine (2007)

* political thriller: The Manchurian Candidate (1962)

* zombie film: Shaun of the Dead (2004)
